Real Time First Notice of Loss
The First Notice of Loss (FNOL) process includes four ACORD Loss Notices that agents use to report claims to respective insurance carriers. These four forms include Property, Liability, Auto and Workers Compensation. Under the traditional system of reporting, the agent completes the FNOL form in their system and e-mails or faxes it to the carrier. Upon receiving the notice, the carrier enters the data into their claim systems and then notifies the agent of receipt and initial claims details by return e-mail or other notice.
The Real Time process NxTech can provide will tremendously improve the reliability, efficiency, timeliness, security and customer service for everyone involved - the agent, insured, and any claimant(s).
With Real Time FNOL workflow from NxTech:
- The agent receives claim notice from insured and enters details into their system
- The agent creates the appropriate FNOL form & attachments in Applied TAM system and submits to the covering carrier in Real Time via Transformation Station™
- The FNOL data in XML format is received by NxTech ConneXt software – translated to the carrier's acceptable data format and loads directly into their claims system
- Based on the carrier's trigger and business decision, a response returned to agent's Applied System in Real Time with:
- confirmation of receipt
- Claim number
- adjuster assignment
- other initial details available about the claim the carrier wishes to provide
- Claims Download, Applied Alerts!™ or Real Time Inquiry are the next logical processes:
- Download synchronizes current claims detail with the agency TAM system
- Alerts! Provides updated information directly to the TAM system as a transaction
- Inquiry allows for Real Time review of claim status via Transformation Station.
